Five Poems

HOW DO YOU KNOW WHAT ALTERED STATE YOU’RE IN?

extrasensory perception
begets properties
expanding universes

you can keep on praying
I’ll start digging the graves
I’ll check NURFOC reports

start my stopwatch & forget
light reflects off our exchanging ideas
like how long are we

going to do this you said
I said you said I said
you said I said
how long?

THIS POSSIBILITY GOES ON FOREVER

in this dream everything I had
ever dreamed
was building up around me

a glitching castle wall
overriding the system & I could
speak

a short history of the shadow

it’s so silent here
It’s so silent here

the way the sun comes in
feels like
family.

I PLAY THE METO-PARK BACK MY RECORDING

I made not myself
evolution! you, sexy changing thing.
Texture of fate becoming. Holographic.
The birds behind my back
I record to let them sing.

THE YEAR OF THE BEAR

Isn’t here but here it goes
three sections & every animal
inside me

I am portioned different griefs
there was everyone else then
you then me

you are sage before my nose
a shadow
after I leave.

EVOLUTION / OR STUDY ON (ARTIFICIAL) INTELLIGENCE

Or a pending thought
I can feel tiny sirens,
nearing never distance
merging ancestral musings
they say it goes likes:
vibing hieroglyphic sex
communication
into consciousness
somehow
I’m always arriving in the middle.
